The acclaimed singing competition, The Voice, kicked off its latest season on NBC at the end of September. Season 26 has already generated significant media buzz, thanks to outstanding audition performances and the dynamic presence of two new coaches joining the original lineup.
The inclusion of Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg alongside established coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani has been met with enthusiasm from both the audience and fellow judges.
During an interview with Access Hollywood on October 19, 2024, Gwen Stefani expressed her excitement about Michael being part of the coaching panel. She highlighted Bublé’s close friendship with her husband, Blake Shelton, a singer and former coach on the show. Gwen stated:
“I knew Michael was fantastic because him and Blake are best friends.”

Access Hollywood visited The Voice set to gather insights from the coaches. The pop superstar, who is now in her eighth season on the show, spoke about her growing camaraderie with the new judges.
Reflecting on her connection with Michael Bublé, Gwen mentioned their mutual acquaintanceship through her husband, Blake Shelton, whom she wed in 2021. She revealed that the two have enjoyed a long friendship, adding that Blake admires Bublé. Gwen shared:
“And whenever they communicate through texts or whatever, Blake is always saying, ‘I love that kid. I love that guy.’ Blake loves him.”
Blake Shelton and Michael Bublé have a longstanding friendship, highlighted by an unforgettable moment when they performed Bublé’s hit “Home”together at a live concert. Released in 2005, “Home”was later covered by Shelton for his 2007 album.
Both renditions received widespread acclaim, but the highlight was when Bublé invited Shelton to sing it alongside him at a 2008 concert, creating a legendary duet.
Gwen Insights on Snoop Dogg’s Coaching Challenge and Her Bond with Reba
Additionally, Gwen shared her thoughts on her fellow judges, particularly on the newest addition, Snoop Dogg. She noted that Snoop’s entry as a coach could prove challenging, especially during the Battleground phase of the competition. Gwen expressed that the aspect of sending contestants home was upsetting and could lead to self-doubt.
Since Snoop is known for his kind-hearted nature, Gwen suggested he might struggle with providing critical feedback. She elaborated that his spiritual approach makes him inclined to uplift others, which often leads to discomfort when delivering negative comments.
Returning to The Voice, Gwen has consistently encountered new coaching talents. This season, she is coaching alongside Reba for the second consecutive year, which has fostered a deeper understanding between them. Gwen expressed that she feels like she is getting to know Reba not just as a colleague, but also as a friend.
