Your first task in this journey is to locate the Firearms Manual at Data Store Charlie, situated within the Interchange. To access the Data Store, you’ll need to find at least one Atomic Battery to restore power to the location.
Upon successfully obtaining the Firearms Manual, you’ll unlock three Firearm-related skills located under the ‘Survival’ tab in your Skills menu. The key skill to focus on is Gunsmith, which enables you to learn gun-upgrading recipes. Keep in mind, unlocking this skill requires seven Training Stimulants.
After you have unlocked the Gunsmith skill, you can begin upgrading your firearms through the Crafting Menu. Simply select the weapon you wish to enhance, similar to how you would use a Bandage or Antidote. To execute an upgrade, you will need two copies of the weapon to improve, Gun Oil, and Scrap. Once you have these materials, you can upgrade your weapon instantly.
