Upgrading Your Tools and Weapons
Features: Coating, Customization, and Sharpening

With the Upgrade Station successfully positioned, simply interact with it to access a menu featuring three upgrade options. The first is Coating, which allows you to apply either an antidote or a fungicide to your weapon. The Antidote enhances damage and facilitates the collection of injured samples, while the fungicide increases damage slightly but gathers intact samples.
The second option is Customization, where you can attach Trinkets to your weapons to modify their capabilities. Make sure you have Trinkets available, as new ones have to be crafted beforehand in order to use this feature. Each Trinket provides unique buffs. For instance, the Storm Shell Trinket enhances weapon performance during storms, while the Golden Feather Trinket improves leap distance and powerful attacks.
The last upgrade option is Sharpening, which temporarily boosts both damage and resource gathering capabilities. This enhancement can significantly impact gameplay, making it beneficial to regularly maintain weapon sharpness when resources allow.Note that each sharpening costs 2 Hardstones, so ensuring a steady supply is practical.
While utilizing the Upgrade Station is optional, it significantly enhances the gameplay experience in Aloft. Although the challenges of survival are part of the allure, upgrading your tools and weapons will undoubtedly enhance your exploration, research, and enjoyment of this captivating world.
