Following a straightforward process, adventurers will be able to utilize their customized characters after purchasing the game.
Slated for release on February 28, Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest addition to Capcom’s renowned action gaming series. Before its official debut, players had the chance to participate in the second beta test, allowing them to engage with the game and earn exclusive rewards that will carry over to the full release. These rewards include a Stuffed Felyne Teddy pendant and a Bonus Item Pack. Notably, players can also retain their character creation data once Monster Hunter Wilds launches.
Capcom’s official Monster Hunter Wilds website now contains essential information on how to effectively transfer character creation data from the beta version to the complete game. In the Character Creation section of Monster Hunter Wilds, players can navigate to the “Design”menu and select the “Beta Test Data”option to migrate their hunter and Palico data. An active internet connection is required for this transfer process, and it can only be completed if the full version of Monster Hunter Wilds is downloaded and installed. It’s critical to note that this transfer solely includes hunter and Palico data, leaving behind any weapons, gear, and equipment obtained during the beta phase.
Instructions for Transferring Character Creation Data from Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta

- Access the Character Creation menu in Monster Hunter Wilds and open the Design menu.
- Select the “Beta Test Data”option to initiate the transfer of your hunter or Palico data.
- If needed, repeat the previous step for additional hunter or Palico data transfers.
There are certain circumstances in which not all character creation data can be successfully transferred to Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom has indicated that design issues or unforeseen complications may impede this process. Additionally, character designs saved at the conclusion of the second beta will be the ones carried over, meaning any character creation from the first beta is not retained. However, should players choose to create entirely new hunters and Palicos, they still have the option to use a Character Edit Voucher or Palico Edit Voucher for their respective data transfers.
Upon launch, fans of Monster Hunter Wilds can look forward to an array of limited-time event quests and updates following the release. The first major title update is expected in early April, promising to introduce the beloved monster Mizutsune, alongside new event quests and an entirely new monster that surpasses the difficulty level of Tempered monsters.
