Ultimately, once you have detailed your reminder, click the checkmark icon in the upper right to save it.

Back in the Phone app, your reminder should be displayed prominently at the top of the screen, ready for you to address it when the notification prompts you.

If you need to revise a reminder, return to the Phone app and locate the existing reminder. Swipe left on the reminder, and click the blue icon that appears.
