How to Set Up the Google TV Streamer
Before starting the setup, ensure that you have an HDMI cable, as Google does not include it in the box. You can purchase one from local retailers or online.
Additionally, make sure to have the Google Home app installed on your mobile device, whether it’s an iPhone or Android smartphone.

Now let’s proceed to the steps for setting up your Google TV Streamer.
Step 1: First, connect the USB and HDMI cables to the Google TV Streamer, ensuring that the other end of the HDMI cable is plugged into your TV. Once completed, insert the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
Step 2: Power on your TV and switch the input to HDMI. You will then be prompted to pair the Voice Remote by pressing the Home and Back buttons until the light starts pulsing.
Step 3: Choose your preferred language.
Step 4: Launch the Google Home app on your smartphone and select Devices, followed by tapping Add Device and then Google Nest or Partner Device.
Step 5: Scan the QR code displayed on your TV screen. A list of settings will appear on your smartphone, including the following:
- Internet Connection: You will be prompted to connect your TV to the internet using WiFi or Ethernet.
- Link Your Google Account: Sign in with your Google Account to utilize it on your Google TV Streamer.
- Google Assistant: Decide whether to enable Google Assistant.
- Link Streaming Services: Connect your apps and streaming services directly from the Google Home app.
- Ambient Screensaver: Choose to use your Photos from Google Photos or opt for the Art Gallery with curated images and artwork.
Step 6: Time to pair the Voice Remote with your TV. On the TV screen, select the Set Up Remote option, and choose the device you’ll use to play. Select the brand of your TV or Soundbar, follow the on-screen prompts to test the remote’s functionality, including volume control and power on/off features.
