Strategies for Raiding Fort Constitution in Dead Rails

Before you embark on your adventure in Fort Constitution, ensure you have enough ammunition, a reliable rifle, a shotgun, bandages, and items like Crucifixes, Holy Waters, or Molotov cocktails for area damage. Consider donning decent armor and bringing a horse to help you escape quickly. It’s also advisable to begin your raid at 6 AM in in-game time to take full advantage of daylight. Follow these guidelines to effectively clear the fort.

1. First Wave of Zombies

  • Upon entry, immediately head to one of the towers on your left or right. This position offers the safest vantage point, as zombies cannot climb ladders.
  • Although they can’t ascend, these enemies are armed and will shoot from below. Begin by peeking down and taking them out.
  • While you might not be able to utilize the cannon yet, employ your Crucifixes, Holy Water, or Molotov cocktails to eliminate the zombies as they gather in groups beneath you.

2. Second Wave of Zombies

  • As the first wave comes to a close, you may find some zombies trapped within the huts. To address this, switch to the other tower quickly. Utilizing Snake Oil can enhance your speed.
  • From the newly reached vantage point, repeat your previous strategy to attack the next wave of zombies.
  • Once again, use area-of-effect attacks, as the zombies will phase in as groups.

3. Third Wave of Zombies

  • The final wave commences once all soldiers and Cavalry zombies within the Fort are defeated.
  • At this point, horse-riding zombies will start appearing from outside the Fort, attempting to infiltrate.
  • It is critical to remain on the tower, as this allows you to utilize the cannons to damage the new wave of attackers.
  • If the cannons are out of range, revert to your lightning strikes and Molotov cocktails for effective damage.

A final piece of advice: if night falls and you haven’t cleared the fort, retreat to your barricaded train cabin. The environment can quickly become treacherous with additional enemies spawning after dark, especially during one of Dead Rails’ night events, such as a Blood Moon Night filled with vampires.
