Guide to Playing Minecraft Creaking and Pale Garden in Bedrock Preview and Beta Versions

During the 2024 Minecraft Live event, Mojang introduced an exciting hostile mob known as the Creaking, along with a newly designed biome called the Pale Garden. These captivating updates are set to roll out in an upcoming winter update. Fortunately, Mojang has a tradition of offering previews of new content via beta versions for Bedrock Edition and snapshot versions for Java Edition prior to their official launch.

In line with this practice, Mojang has made the Creaking and the Pale Garden available in the recent beta/preview release 1.21.50.20 for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Here’s how you can dive into these fresh features.

How to Discover the Creaking and Pale Garden in Minecraft Bedrock Edition’s Latest Beta/Preview Release

To embark on your exploration, start by downloading the latest version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition beta/preview 1.21.50.20. This can be accomplished by navigating to your device’s app store and searching for Minecraft Preview. If you haven’t yet installed the beta version, it will automatically download the latest update featuring both the Creaking and the Pale Garden.

If you already possess an earlier version, you will see an update button. Use this to download and install the latest release, 1.21.50.20.

2) Launch Minecraft Bedrock Beta/Preview via the Minecraft Launcher

Once you’ve downloaded the beta/preview version 1.21.50.20, open the Minecraft launcher and select the “latest preview”version by clicking on the Bedrock Edition option in the left sidebar.

The game will launch, and the main menu will display a distinct appearance, indicating that you are indeed running a preview version and not the standard Bedrock Edition.

3) Create a New World to Discover Creaking and Pale Garden

For those playing the Java Edition’s latest snapshot, it’s necessary to activate the “Winter Drop”features found in the Experiments tab when establishing a new world to encounter the Creaking and Pale Garden.

However, in the Bedrock Edition’s 1.21.50.20 beta/preview version, you can simply generate a new world without needing to enable any additional settings to experience the new features—the Creaking and Pale Garden are readily available without being tucked away under any experimental categories.

Just remember not to load an existing world in the beta/preview version, as this may lead to corruption of world files. If you decide to venture into an old world, ensure you first create a backup.
