Guide to Obtaining Verdant and Paradisal Mutations in Grow a Garden

Mutations add an exciting dimension to the gameplay in Grow a Garden, enhancing both the experience and the rewards of tending to your crops. The recent Summer Update introduced new mutations, including the coveted Verdant and Paradisal mutations, which present unique challenges for players. In this guide, we’ll delve into the step-by-step process of obtaining these mutations, their selling multipliers, and evaluate if the effort is worth it.

How to Obtain Scarlet Macaw’s passive ability

To acquire the Verdant mutation, players must first obtain the Scarlet Macaw. This pet can be purchased from the Pet Egg shop, specifically in the Paradise Egg category, which is available but rare. The cost for a Paradise Egg is 50, 000, 000 Sheckles.

Upon obtaining the egg, you have an 8% chance of hatching the legendary Scarlet Macaw. This pet possesses a passive ability that allows it to randomly apply the Verdant mutation to your crops every 11.48 minutes. However, keep in mind that this process isn’t entirely foolproof; there’s only a 16.25% chance for the Macaw to successfully apply the Verdant mutation each time.

How to Acquire Combination of Verdant and Sundried mutations

To unlock the Paradisial mutation, players will need to combine both the Verdant and the Sundried mutations on the same crop. First, ensure your crop has the Verdant mutation applied (which can come from the Scarlet Macaw). Then, utilize the Tanning Mirror, located near the plant, to reflect sunlight and apply the Sundried mutation. Once both mutations are present on a single crop, they will merge to create the Paradisal mutation, similar to how the Wet mutation transforms into Frozen during winter events.

Is the Scarlet Macaw Worth Getting?

The Scarlet Macaw is one of the rarest pets introduced in the Grow a Garden Summer Update. Despite its scarcity, the effectiveness of this pet is somewhat limited since it only has a fractional chance of applying mutations to crops. Additionally, the time interval for the mutation application is relatively long.

When compared to other pets like the Raccoon or Dragonfly, which generally offer higher efficiency and utility, the Scarlet Macaw falls short. For those considering adding it to their collection, it may not be the best option. The selling multipliers for mutations—4x for Verdant and 18x for Paradisal—do not sufficiently compensate for the extensive effort required to obtain and hatch a Paradise Egg.

To sum up, while the Verdant and Paradisal mutations can add value to your gardening experience, the effort involved in acquiring them might not justify the outcome. What are your thoughts on these mutations? Feel free to share your experiences and opinions in the comments section below.
