Your Guide to the Fierce Deity Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Fierce Deity Set is widely regarded as one of the most formidable outfits in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This legendary attire not only enhances Link’s attack power by three stages but also adds a striking visual flair that embodies the essence of fierceness.

Acquiring the Fierce Deity Set is an exciting adventure, starting with one of Hyrule’s most engaging Side Adventures: Misko’s Cave of Chests.

Understanding Misko’s Cave of Chests

Located in the arid expanses of Eldin Canyon near Foothills Stable, players will encounter two treasure-seeking brothers, Domidak and Prissen, who are mystified by the enigmas surrounding Misko’s Cave of Chests. The clever bandit who hid Misko’s treasure has crafted riddles throughout Hyrule, challenging players eager to add splendid treasures to their collections.

This Side Adventure may initially appear straightforward, but it incorporates a series of puzzles and an extensive treasure hunt that leads Link to lesser-explored areas of the game world. The effort is well worth it, as the rewards include the powerful Fierce Deity set alongside one of the game’s top-tier weapons—a delightful nod to one of the series’ most beloved adventures.

Here’s how you can tackle Misko’s Cave of Chests and secure the Fierce Deity set for your adventures in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

To progress through Misko’s Cave of Chests, you will need to befriend the dog located at the cave’s entrance by feeding it. Once the dog is coaxed, it will lead you to hidden treasures.

Engage in conversation with Domidak and Prissen, who will provide hints about a legendary treasure concealed beneath Cephla Lake Cave. They’ll express a desire for a dog’s keen sense of smell to aid in their search. To win over the dog, repeatedly drop food items such as apples or meats nearby until it decides to accompany you.

If, by chance, the dog remains uncooperative, don’t be discouraged. You can easily open the treasure chests within the cave yourself!

Utilize your Ultrahand power to free chests lodged within the walls or floors. Shake the controller to retrieve them, revealing either rupees or clues. As you rummage through the chests, you’ll first acquire the Ember Trousers, which enhance your attack in hot weather.

Upon retrieving this treasure, Domidak and Prissen will appear, congratulating you on your discovery. Yet, your adventure is far from over!

A message in a bottle will lead you to “don the form of the Fierce Deity” to receive your monumental reward. You’ll need to gather the full Fierce Deity armor set, which includes the Fierce Deity Mask, Fierce Deity Armor, and Fierce Deity Boots.

Pieces of this iconic armor can be found in three unique locations: one beneath the bedchamber of Akkala’s citadel, another inside the left eye of a skull, and the final piece hidden within an old stump in Hyrule Field. Now, let’s embark on the quest to locate these armor pieces.

The interactive map below outlines the precise locations of all three pieces of the Fierce Deity armor set:

Akkala Citadel Bedchamber Location

The Akkala Citadel Ruins can be found within the Akkala Highlands, specifically at the Akkala Citadel Ruins, as depicted below:

Once inside, emerge from the water and navigate through the tunnel. Clear the loose rocks blocking your path and eliminate any skeletons lurking in the large cavern.
