To construct high-ranking armor in Monster Hunter Wilds, adventurers will need to accumulate various rare materials. One essential component, integral for a plethora of weapons as well as the Damascus armor set, is Fucium Ore.
This unique metal is relatively elusive and can only be sourced from the Ruins of Wyveria. Although it may not seem plentiful, with a strategic approach to farming, you can amass enough Fucium Ore to forge that coveted weapon or armor. Below, you’ll discover the locations to mine Fucium Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Locating Fucium Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, Fucium Ore is categorized as a rare material. When you’re not receiving it through quest rewards, your primary source will be from the Mining Nodes scattered across Wyveria.
These Mining Nodes are represented by small blue icons on your map. To facilitate your search, open the Wyveria map and select the ‘Filter Icons’ option at the lower left corner. From there, choose the ‘Gathering’ category and then hover over ‘Mining Outcrops’ to highlight their locations.

Once you identify a Mining Outcrop, set a waypoint to it and command your Seikret to transport you there for efficient mining. It’s essential to note that while Wyveria has limited Mining Nodes, shifting from one to another with your Seikret increases your chances of gathering Fucium Ore. However, results can vary; in my experience, I only harvested one Fucium Ore during an exhaustive run through all available Mining Nodes in the vicinity.
Keep in mind that Mining Nodes in Monster Hunter Wilds are subject to a cooldown period of 15 minutes. To expedite your farming efforts, consider resting at a Pop-Up Camp using Guild Points, or engage in combat with one of the larger monsters in the area. By the time you finish, Wyveria’s Mining Outcrops should have reset and will be ready for farming again.
