Noclateo: The Shrouded City in Nightreign
In the expansive world of Nightreign, Noklateo, known as the Shrouded City, stands as the final Shifting Earth event players can access. This vast, treacherous city bears an uncanny resemblance to Elden Ring’s famed Nokron and Nokstella, filled with spectral mobs, formidable bosses, and tantalizing rewards that await intrepid explorers.
Understanding the Shrouded City Event
Noklateo appears in the southeast section of Limveld and typically unlocks after players defeat their sixth or seventh Nightlord. This event is integral to the gameplay, enriching the adventure with unique challenges and encounters.

Similar to other Shifting Earth events, the Shrouded City will be accessible for several Expeditions before it vanishes, although players can skip this phase by resting in a bed at the Hold. Subsequently, all Shifting Earth events—including Noklateo—will occur at random intervals.
To determine if a Shifting Earth event is currently active, look at the right side of your match-making screen during Expedition setup. Here, you’ll find details regarding ongoing events. It’s crucial that all members of your party have previously unlocked the event in order to participate.
Exploring Noklateo: A Step-by-Step Guide
Prior to venturing into Noklateo, consider allocating the entire Day 2 of your Expedition for exploration. The Night’s Tide usually approaches Shifting Earth events during this time, offering a significant opportunity to uncover the city’s secrets. Rushing to explore only half of Day 2 could jeopardize your chances of claiming the final reward before the Night 2 boss appears.
On Day 1, focus on exploring mines, churches, and other essential points of interest, allowing you to devote the following day entirely to navigating the treacherous Shrouded City and its dangerous foes. Be prepared; reaching the final boss and claiming the reward may require extensive travel through the city.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
Start your journey by crossing the ruined bridge at the city’s entrance and veering right. Ascend the stairs and pass through the archway, then scale the ledge to your right. This may require some effort, but persistence will pay off.

Continue past the Merchant, unless you wish to make a quick purchase. Jump over the wall behind the Merchant and proceed forward, scaling the wall where the fence is missing. This is slightly challenging but manageable with effort.
Once you reach the next area, keep moving forward—passing under a bridge and up the stairs—while watching out for rocks hurled by nearby enemies. Follow the stairs until you encounter a fountain and a waterfall; climb to the top of the waterfall.

At the top of the waterfall, you will discover a Site of Grace in a nearby gazebo or at the top of the stairs to your left. Climb the stairs and jump down onto the platform below, then head to the right.

Your journey will soon lead you to a boss fight in a narrow corridor; in our experience, this was a Black Knife Assassin. After defeating the boss, proceed towards the edge of the map and turn left to climb the ruins.
After navigating the ruins, move left around the building and leap over any gaps in the floor. Continue straight ahead up the stairs, where you will find another gazebo with a Site of Grace inside. To the right of this gazebo, another boss will await your challenge—be ready for the fight!
Upon reaching the top of the stairs, you’ll enter an expansive room, where you will encounter the Naturalborn of the Void. Although reminiscent of Astel and his siblings, this version proves less formidable than its predecessors, especially when faced as a trio.
Once victorious over the Naturalborn of the Void, collect the Dormant Power drop and claim your reward from the altar located at the back of the room. This reward grants a passive trait allowing you to revive once, a valuable asset during intense encounters where your team may be downed.
This passive can alter the course of chaotic battles, offering a crucial lifeline, and combined with the Runes and Dormant Power drops from the Shrouded City, the venture is undoubtedly worthwhile.
