Guide to Completing the ‘In Knead of a Friend’ Collection Challenge in Pokemon GO

The ongoing Precious Pals event in Pokemon GO is an exciting chance for trainers, running until January 25 at 8 PM local time. This event marks the first introduction of the Shiny forms of Fidough and its evolution, Dachsbun, into the game.

These delightful canine-themed Pokémon are central to one of the event’s two collection challenges, specifically titled ‘In Knead of Friend.’ This guide will not only detail how to acquire both Fidough and Dachsbun but also discuss the accompanying rewards for completing this challenge. Additionally, we will explore the second collection challenge known as ‘Little Friends, Big Potential.’

Successfully Complete the In Knead of a Friend Collection Challenge in Pokemon GO

Acquiring Fidough and Dachsbun

To fulfill the ‘In Knead of a Friend‘ challenge, trainers must catch a Fidough and evolve it into Dachsbun by using 50 Fidough Candy.

Upon successfully completing this challenge, you will receive the following rewards:

5000 XP
An encounter with an additional Fidough
5000 Stardust

So how can you obtain a Fidough? During the Precious Pals event, there are five effective methods to catch this adorable Pokémon:

If you purchase a $5 Premium ticket from the in-game shop, available for special timed research, you’ll encounter a Fidough after completing six tasks. These tasks involve earning hearts with your Buddy Pokémon, feeding your Buddy, and taking photos of them.
The second option is a spontaneous field spawn encounter; Fidough will appear more frequently as the event progresses. Don’t forget, it ends on January 25 at 8 PM local time!
Hatching 2 km eggs offers another chance to find Fidough, as it is one of five Pokémon that can hatch during this event, alongside Golden, Togepi, Riolu, and Happiny.

Finally, you can secure Fidough by completing the other collection challenge, ‘Little Friends, Big Potential.’ This involves catching Magikarp, Stufful, Swablu, and Wimpod, all of which have increased spawn rates during the event. This challenge also rewards you with 5000 XP and 5000 Stardust.
