Roblox is making waves with its exciting event, The Hunt: Mega Edition, where players aged 13 and above can compete for a staggering prize of $1 million by collecting Tokens throughout various game experiences. Among these games, SpongeBob Tower Defense features a captivating ghost-themed quest that allows players to hunt for a coveted Mega Token.
This specific Mega Token can be elusive if you aren’t aware of where to search! Luckily, we are here to guide you through the process. Here’s a comprehensive overview of how to successfully complete The Hunt quest in SpongeBob Tower Defense and earn a Mega Token.
Steps to Complete The Hunt Quest in SpongeBob Tower Defense
Your first step is to venture into The Hunt event area within SpongeBob Tower Defense and complete the exclusive event stage, named Bikini Bottom – Chumageddon. You can tackle this event solo or team up with friends, and there’s no need to concern yourself with your unlocked units or level, as you will be provided with a selection of powerful units specifically for this event!
The event consists of 15 challenging waves, culminating in two boss encounters at Wave 10 and Wave 15. Upon defeating the final boss, Plankton, you will receive a The Hunt Token. However, there is an additional, secret Mega Token waiting to be discovered in SpongeBob Tower Defense!
How to Acquire the Mega Token in SpongeBob Tower Defense
As you navigate the floor of Bikini Bottom, pay special attention to the red cross marks scattered throughout the area that you can interact with. Engaging with these spots will yield various unremarkable treasures, but one of them will unveil a map leading to the Flying Dutchman’s ship.
Return to the lobby of SpongeBob Tower Defense; ahead, you should find the green ghost of the Flying Dutchman marked with ‘Trading’ beneath his name.Engage with him to be transported to his ship.
Once aboard, speak with the Flying Dutchman again, who will request that you find a key to his quarters. This key is not difficult to find; it’s concealed in the lower section of the ship. Head to the opposite end of the helm, where a substantial open grate awaits your jump.
Within this space, you’ll find the key on the floor, positioned between some barrels in the back-left corner (when facing away from the entrance).
With the key secured, exit through the door of this room. You will encounter a maze next, and should you require assistance, here are the directions to navigate:
- Begin by taking a right.
- When you reach a crossroads with three options, choose the first right.
- Continue along the path until you arrive at another junction, where you can either go left or proceed straight ahead to the right. Opt for straight ahead and then right.
- You will pass a blue plant and come to another split; take a left to avoid a dead end on your right.
- At the next opening, advance straight ahead – do not take the pathway to the right. You should arrive at a fish tank.
- Move straight past the fish tank and soon after, you’ll reach an opening with two right turns and one left. Take the second right to discover a door.
By opening the door, you will enter the Captain’s Quarters. Here, stand on the red teleport pad to be transported to another exclusive event stage for The Hunt: Mega Edition after a brief cutscene.
At this stage, get ready to set up your defenses as you’ll be facing 20 waves of enemies and a particularly formidable boss. The great news is that you do not need to win this battle to receive your Mega Token; mere participation is sufficient!
Once you’ve completed the second event stage, head to the small chamber beneath the Flying Dutchman’s helm. Inside, you will discover another map that reveals the exact location of the Mega Token!
Re-enter The Hunt event—the original Chumageddon stage from the beginning. Approach City Hall, and just to its right, you’ll find a small purple cave with a jellyfish hovering nearby.
Enter the cave, descend the waterfall, and stand on the Token-shaped platform. Following this, perform the dance emote by typing ‘/e dance‘ into the chat. A door will open, and through it, you will find your Mega Token inside Davy Jones’ Locker. Claim your prize, and you have successfully completed the quest!
Mega Tokens can be collected, and after acquiring three of them, you can gain access to a hidden area within The Hunt: Mega Edition experience.
