Exploring the vast realms of World of Warcraft is exhilarating, particularly when players can traverse these lands atop an impressive mount. Among the coveted mounts, Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, a magnificent Stormcrow, stands out. But how does one acquire this dazzling creature?
Although Thrayir is not the first raven-style mount introduced in the game, its origin is closely tied to the Siren Isle zone, a fascinating area introduced in the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion. This zone hosts a dynamic weather event known as a Storm, which occurs in various phases. To claim Thrayir, players must embark on an exciting quest, seeking five unique Runekeys scattered across Siren Isle while the Storm event is raging. Below is a detailed guide on how to obtain this exceptional flying mount.
How to Acquire Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in World of Warcraft
Your journey begins with the Whirling Runekey, which can be obtained by defeating the rare spawn enemy Ksvir the Forgotten. This enemy resides in the southernmost chamber of the Forgotten Vault. Make sure to visit during a Storm phase, as this is when Ksvir has a chance to spawn. Upon vanquishing Ksvir, players will almost always receive the Whirling Runekey.
The next on the list is the Torrential Runekey, which requires players to collect seven Torrential Fragments from enemies roaming Siren Isle during the Storm phase. Keep your eyes peeled, as these fragments drop frequently.
To acquire the Thunderous Runekey, players need to gather five Thunderous Fragments, which can be found in chests scattered around Siren Isle, regardless of whether the area is in a Storm.
Next, the Cyclonic Runekey can be obtained by fishing during a Storm phase on Siren Isle or by defeating Zek’ul the Shipbreaker located in the Deadfin Mire, where it may drop as loot.
Lastly, the Turbulent Runekey requires exploration of specific locations on the island near Kul Tiran ghosts. Players must retrieve three Turbulent Fragments from these areas:
- Behind the abandoned inn, where you can dig in the garden.
- Inside a cave located in the Rotting Hole zone, where a ghost is hiding.
- Within the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where a ghost offers a fragment as a tribute.
Once all five Runekeys are collected, the next step is to return to the Forgotten Vault on Siren Isle during the Seafury Tempest phase. It’s vital to approach this area during the correct phase; otherwise, the ritual to use the keys will not be activated. Upon entering the Forgotten Vault, head to the eastern room.
There, Thrayir’s body will be positioned on a platform surrounded by five runestones. Insert each corresponding Runekey into the designated slots, and a quest titled “Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren” will be generated. Complete the quest to finally add this magnificent mount to your inventory.
