Guide to Acquiring the Weaver’s Needle in Black Myth Wukong

The Weaver’s Needle stands out as one of the most formidable Vessels in Black Myth: Wukong, second only to the Plantain Fan. However, while the Plantain Fan is automatically unlocked upon completing Chapter 5, titled The Flaming Mountains, acquiring the Weaver’s Needle requires players to navigate a lengthy optional quest accompanied by a highly challenging boss encounter.

Your journey begins in Chapter 3, titled The Webbed Hollow, where you need to reach the Pool of Shattered Jade to encounter the Venom Daoist. This character will eventually guide you to the chapter’s hidden “secret area”known as the Purple Cloud Mountains. It is here within the Purple Cloud Mountains that the coveted Weaver’s Needle can be obtained.

How to Find the Weaver’s Needle in Black Myth: Wukong?

You will obtain the Weaver’s Needle after defeating Duskveil, the final boss located in the Purple Cloud Mountains. However, getting to this point involves several steps. Initially, seek out the Venom Daoist, who resides in the Pool of Shattered Jade, situated near the first Keeper’s Shrine in The Webbed Hollow.

Next, you should make your way to the Court of Illumination Keeper’s Shrine. From there, head southeast to encounter the Venom Daoist again. Defeating it here will grant you access to the Purple Cloud Mountain, where you can later challenge the Weaver’s Needle.

To summarize, here are the steps to unlock the Weaver’s Needle in Black Myth: Wukong:

  • Defeat the Venom Daoist located near the Pool of Shattered Jade.
  • Proceed to the Court of Illumination Shrine.
  • From the Shrine, head southeast until you reach another Venom Daoist boss arena.
  • Defeat the Venom Daoist to unlock access to the Purple Cloud Mountain.
  • Navigate through the Purple Cloud Mountain until you encounter Duskveil.
  • Conquer Duskveil to acquire the Weaver’s Needle.

It’s important to note that the Purple Cloud Mountain is home to two additional bosses besides Duskveil – Daoist Mi and The Scorpionlord. If you defeat Duskveil without taking on these bosses, you will need to start New Game+ for another chance to battle them. It’s advisable to tackle all optional encounters prior to facing the Duskveil boss.

Upon vanquishing Duskveil, you’ll trigger a cutscene that will automatically exit the Destined One from the Purple Cloud Mountains, rewarding you with the Weaver’s Needle.
