UPDATE: We have embedded an interactive map to help you track down all pieces of Miner’s Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the variety of available armor sets each serve unique functions. One particularly useful set is the Miner’s Armor, designed for exploration in the treacherous areas of The Depths. When worn, this armor grants Link a gentle luminescence, illuminating dark passages and making navigation significantly less daunting.
Acquiring the Miner’s Armor involves a good amount of exploration rather than a hefty rupee expenditure. To complete the set, players will need to venture both to sky islands and deep into The Depths. Below, we will cover the process of obtaining the Miner’s Armor set in detail.
The Path to Acquiring the Miner’s Armor Set
During your adventures across Hyrule, you may stumble upon Old Map fragments. While these maps indicate locations of hidden treasures, they also lead to the Miner’s Armor pieces. However, locating these maps is not a prerequisite; experienced explorers can navigate The Depths directly to seek out the armor without them.
The Miner’s Armor set comprises three distinct pieces, each offering Link an essential glow effect that facilitates visibility in dark environments. By upgrading this armor at a Great Fairy Fountain, players can unlock an additional feature that leaves a luminous trail, effectively marking your path back.

Here’s a detailed guide on how to collect each piece of the Miner’s Armor!
Obtaining the Miner’s Mask
To find the Miner’s Mask, journey to the Abandoned Kara Kara Mines located in The Depths. This area is conveniently near the Tatayam Lightroot, which serves as a useful waypoint if you’ve already activated it.

If you haven’t yet explored this area of The Depths, head to the Gerudo region and dive into the East Gerudo Chasm, as indicated on the map below.

Expect a lengthy journey to the Tatayam Lightroot, so be sure to stock up on Brightbloom seeds. As you proceed, keep an eye out for any foes that may impede your progress.
Locating the Miner’s Top
The Miner’s Top is found within the Daphne’s Canyon Mines in The Depths, located just southwest of the Iayusus Lightroot.

The Daphne’s Canyon Mines lie north of the Abandoned Central Mines, which should be familiar if you’ve progressed through the game. Alternatively, you could access this area through the chasm in Hyrule Field, where you’ll find the Nisoij Lightroot.

Once you’ve reached the Nisoij Lightroot, make your way westward until you reach the Iayusus Lightroot. From there, the Daphne Canyon Mines are just a short trek southwest.
Finding the Miner’s Trousers
The final piece, the Miner’s Trousers, can be obtained at the Hylia Canyon Mine located in The Depths. This mine lies to the west of the Koradat Lightroot, which is south of the Abandoned Central Mine.

To access this mine from the surface, dive into the Great Plateau South Chasm near Mount Hylia, as shown below.

After diving, collect the Koradat Lightroot just to the north, and then head southwest to reach Hylia Canyon Mine where you can obtain the Miner’s Trousers, completing your set.
