The Complete Guide to the Ember Armor Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can discover a variety of stunning armor sets that enhance Link’s abilities as he navigates the captivating landscapes of Hyrule. Among these unique sets is the Ember Armor, which boasts a striking red hue that shines brightly as Link ventures into the hotter regions of the game, such as Gerudo Town and Goron City. Not only does this armor provide a visual flair, but it also grants valuable buffs for exploring these sizzling locales. Let’s delve into the details of acquiring the Ember Armor set.
Acquiring the Ember Armor Set
The Ember Armor set consists of three essential components: the Ember Headdress, Ember Shirt, and Ember Trousers. When all pieces are equipped, Link receives increased attack power in hot conditions. Moreover, enhancing the armor at a Great Fairy Fountain adds even more benefits, boosting his charged attacks in sweltering weather.
Each piece of the Ember armor can be found in various caves located around Goron City. Below you’ll find a detailed overview of where to locate all the pieces, complemented by an interactive map.
Interactive Map
To aid you in your quest, utilize the interactive map below to pinpoint the locations of all Ember armor pieces:
Finding the Ember Headdress
The Ember Headdress is hidden within the Yunobo HQ South Cave, situated just north of Goron City, adjacent to Yunobo HQ. Ensure you equip at least one piece of the Flamebreaker Guard armor for added protection against the extreme heat inside the cave.

Upon entering, eliminate the Horriblin guarding the area. Next, demolish the breakable rock blocking the path using Bomb Fruit, a hammer, or Yunobo’s charge ability. You’ll discover a Zonai car waiting for you; use the Ultrahand ability to attach the missing wheels and navigate it across the lava pool.

When you successfully navigate past the lava, look for the altar that houses the chest containing the Ember Headdress!
Locating the Ember Shirt
Next on your quest is the Ember Shirt, nestled inside the Goronbi River Cave, located south of Goron City. Again, the Flamebreaker Guard armor is a requisite to withstand the intense temperatures within this cave.

Inside, defeat the Horriblin and utilize the Ultrahand to manipulate the rock slabs falling from the lava; construct a bridge to reach the platform nearby. Continue to build another bridge to bypass more lava while dodging falling debris.

Eliminate the Fire Like swiftly, retrieve your bridge, and then use one of the rock slabs to float across the lava. When you reach the other side, ascend into the opening to find the altar containing the Ember Shirt.
Discovering the Ember Trousers
The final piece, the Ember Trousers, awaits in the Cephla Lake Cave, positioned east of Goron City, just north of the Foothill Stable. Look for a fire and tent at the entrance, which is conveniently located behind the Kisinona Shrine.

Inside, the cave is filled with chests, but beware—most contain only Green Rupees. However, you can enlist the help of a friendly dog outside. Feed him some food, and he’ll guide you to the chest containing the Ember Trousers.

With the assistance of the dog, locate and open the chest to proudly claim the Ember Trousers.
Enhancing Your Gameplay with Other Armor Sets
In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Ember armor is just one facet of your adventure. Players can also gather the Glide armor for aerial navigation, the Rubber armor to withstand thunderstorms, or the Depths armor to survive in hazardous conditions. Collecting these sets not only enhances gameplay but also enriches the immersive experience of exploring Hyrule.
