Guide to Acquiring Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds

In the world of Monster Hunter Wilds, Monster Fluid is an essential crafting material used for creating a variety of armor pieces, weapons, and Kinsect Beetles specifically for the Insect Glaive. Players can easily obtain Monster Fluid by defeating the small spiders associated with Nerscylla. During hunts for Nerscylla, you’ll encounter numerous mini spiders, which appear to be her offspring. Each mini spider you defeat rewards you with Monster Fluid.

There are two optional quests that allow you to hunt Nerscylla:

  • Dance of the Shadow (two-star difficulty)
  • The Nerscylla’s Hunting Grounds (four-star difficulty)

If these quests are not yet available, continue progressing through the main storyline until you can access them. Successfully taking down the mini spiders during these hunts can yield as much as 20 Monster Fluids, providing ample resources to craft multiple Kinsects.

If Nerscylla is obstructing your ability to carve the mini spiders, consider using a Flash Pod to stun her. Additionally, while you can find Nerscylla and her offspring in different biomes, hunting outside of quests may prove less efficient, due to their sporadic appearances.

In my experience, I’ve had considerable success locating Nerscylla during the Fallow in locations such as Iceshard Cliffs and Oilwell Basin outside of quest scenarios.

Top Kinsects to Develop Using Monster Fluid

When it comes to selecting Kinsects to raise with your Monster Fluid, two exceptional options stand out: Gullshad and Ladytarge. Both of these Kinsects feature the Blunt Attack Type.

The Gullshad is particularly beneficial for those seeking to receive Recover Powder. This healing resource can be a lifesaver during intense hunts against formidable foes like Arkveld and Jin Dahaad.

Conversely, if your strategy involves inflicting paralysis on monsters, Ladytarge is an excellent choice. By stunning targets, Ladytarge creates openings for significant attacks and damage, particularly helpful when you need to collect specific monster materials and break body parts while they are incapacitated.

Your selection of Kinsect should ultimately align with your individual playstyle. While these two options are among the best choices, you can also purchase Kinsects for Zenny at the Smithy, should you need alternatives or lack necessary crafting materials.

Raising each Kinsect requires two Monster Fluids, so plan your hunts accordingly to maximize your crafting potential.
