Guide to Acquiring and Utilizing Resin in Minecraft

With the Winter game update, Minecraft has introduced a new material known as resin, along with the Pale Garden biome and the Creaking mob. This distinctive resource forms on pale oak trees through a specific process and can be harvested easily. Additionally, resin can be smelted and fashioned into a vibrant range of building blocks characterized by their bright orange hue.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on acquiring and utilizing resin in Minecraft.

Your Guide to Collecting and Utilizing Resin in Minecraft

To begin, it’s essential to understand the Creaking’s behavior and the way striking it affects resin production. When the Creaking mob is attacked, it won’t take damage; instead, it will absorb energy from a hidden heart block located deep in one of the Pale Garden’s trees. You will see particles moving between the heart block and the Creaking mob.

Each time you hit the mob, resin droplets will start to appear on the surrounding pale oak logs, centered around the heart of the Creaking. The more you strike this three-eyed entity, the more resin clumps will form around it. These clusters will look like small orange drips on the pale oak logs.

After sufficient resin has formed, you can destroy the Creaking’s heart to eliminate the creature. You can then collect the resin droplets using any tool or even your bare hands to obtain resin clumps.

Ways to Use Resin Clumps

Once you’ve gathered resin clumps, they can be used in several beneficial ways:

  • To craft resin blocks.
  • To be smelted into resin bricks.
  • To serve as a dye for armor trims.

The most prominent application of resin is for crafting resin brick blocks. You can smelt resin clumps in a furnace to create resin bricks, which can then be shaped into various structures such as slabs, stairs, and walls.

Another intriguing use for resin clumps is their ability to add a bright orange tint to armor trims, enhancing your armor designs.
