In Monster Hunter Wilds, players will find a plethora of activities beyond the typical monster hunting, including item collection. One intriguing pursuit involves gathering resources scattered throughout the game’s diverse regions. If you find yourself in the Scarlet Forest, you might come across some valuable Wyvern Eggs.
Unlike previous entries in the Monster Hunter franchise, the significance of Wyvern Eggs in MH Wilds has changed due to the absence of delivery quests. While their value may have diminished, those wanting to transport these eggs back to camp can still do so with some careful planning and strategy.
Locating Wyvern Eggs in MH Wilds

Players can uncover Wyvern Eggs at a Rathalos or Rathian nest located in Area 11 of the Scarlet Forest. While hunting these creatures can lead you to this nest, you have the option to visit at any time. However, timing your hunt against a Rathalos or Rathian is advisable for a safer egg retrieval experience.
Transporting Wyvern Eggs in Monster Hunter Wilds

Once you’ve secured an egg, your next challenge is to deliver it to a nearby pop-up camp within the Scarlet Forest. The process, however, is fraught with difficulty, as Wyvern Eggs are both heavy and delicate. Carrying one will hinder your movement, and any sudden movements—like dodging or sprinting—could result in the egg shattering. Expect interruptions from a lurking Rathalos or Rathian as you attempt your egg delivery.
To streamline this endeavor and minimize potential setbacks, consider preparing the following:
- Unlock the pop-up camp in Area 7.
- Equip armor or decorations that feature the Outdoorsman and Intimidator skills (optional).
- Ensure your Ghillie Mantle is ready for use.
- Bring along a ranged weapon and some Dung Pods for emergencies.
Optimal Route for Delivery

Don your Ghillie Mantle and cautiously proceed back to the Area 7 camp with the egg in hand. To maintain safety and avoid dropping the cargo, maneuver down vines slowly and refrain from jumping or rolling while making your way back. The Ghillie Mantle will help keep you hidden from nearby monsters.
If your mantle’s effects fade, utilize Dung Pods to scare off larger threats like the Lala Barina or Congalala. The Intimidator skill will protect you from smaller creatures, while Outdoorsman will increase your speed while carrying the Wyvern Egg.
Currently, delivering a Wyvern Egg grants you 50 Guild Points, making it a task worth considering despite the challenges involved.
