Satisfactory enables players to split items from a stack for better and quicker inventory management. This feature allows you to easily select the exact number of items needed from a stack with just a few clicks. Follow these steps to split stacks:

  • Press the Tab key to open your inventory.
  • Hover your mouse over the item you wish to split.
  • Right-click with your mouse to split the stack in half. For custom quantities, hold the right-click to access custom splitting, where you can use the slider or keyboard input to select the amount you need.
  • After splitting, you can move the new stack around, placing it in storage or using it as input for machinery.

Keep in mind that, by default, the game will split items in half, rounding up if the number is odd. For instance, if you split a stack of seven, you will end up with four items in your hand, leaving three in your inventory.

Access your inventory by pressing the Tab key. Here, you will organize your items, dismantled blueprints, and equipped gear. By default, Satisfactory provides 18 inventory slots, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 81 slots.

Every item has a defined stack size, meaning similar items are grouped into a single slot, saving inventory space. If you collect more than the allowed stack size, additional items will fill new slots if available. Stack sizes can vary from 1, 50, 100, 200, to 500, based on the item’s rarity and type.
