“Gucci Mane Releases Most 1017 Label Artists, Internet Reacts: ‘Best Thing That Ever Happened’”

Gucci Mane is currently making waves in the news following his recent announcement regarding some significant shifts at his record label, 1017 Records. Over the years, numerous well-known artists like Waka Flocka Flame, Migos, Chief Keef, and Asian Doll have been associated with the label.

On October 18, 2024, he shared a casual video on his official Instagram account, where he was seen enjoying a drink inside his vehicle. His post included the caption:

“1017 DOG roster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

In the video, Gucci Mane communicated that he has reached out to all artists under his label, letting them know they have the option to “take their talents elsewhere” if they choose to. He elaborated:

“When I review my P&L statements, as a businessman, I realize that I will likely have to part ways with almost every artist except for Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano. This isn’t a decision I made lightly.”

Despite letting go of most artists, with the exception of two, Mane indicated his intention to scout for new talent to join his label, stating that he plans to connect them with Pooh and Foo. His focus, he noted, is on refreshing the roster.

Following the viral spread of Gucci Mane’s clip across various social media platforms, fans and followers expressed their mixed feelings in response to a post by Ahmed, also known as Big Business, on X (previously Twitter). One comment stated:

Many users voiced their disappointment over Gucci Mane’s bold decision.

“Damn, the curse of Gucci Mane’s label continues,” one user commented on X.

“Signing with Gucci is wild for so many reasons,” another reaction noted.

“Top 5 Worst CEOs of all time,” added another fan.

Some individuals also pointed out that several former artists of the label had either passed away or faced legal challenges.

“They’re either gone or incarcerated. It’s a cursed label,” a commenter on X stated.

“Aren’t most of them deceased?” another user asked.

“Didn’t many of his previous artists pass away?” another comment inquired.

Contrary to the negativity surrounding the decision, one user praised the departing artists for gaining newfound freedom, while another speculated that Mane was looking for fresh talent.

“Good, the others can finally live full lives, lol,” read one response on X.

“Mane is tired of losing money on unproductive artists, lol. He needs hungry new talent,” a netizen wrote.

Gucci Mane to Perform at Atlanta Hawks Season Opener

Also known by his birth name Radric Delantic Davis, Gucci Mane’s last album, *Breath of Fresh Air*, was released last year. While he has not unveiled a new project as of yet, he is scheduled to perform during the halftime show of the Atlanta Hawks’ opening game at the State Farm Arena on Wednesday, October 23.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Davis has been recognized as “one of the most influential rappers of the last decade” by the basketball franchise. Additionally, he shared his excitement about this upcoming performance in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, saying:

“The atmosphere at State Farm Arena is always electric, and I’m committed to delivering a performance that fans won’t forget.”

Notably, Gucci Mane has a special connection to the venue, as he proposed to his wife, Keyshia Ka’oir, at this very location in 2016. The couple celebrated their nuptials the following year, which were broadcast live on BET.

Keyshia Ka’oir has made a name for herself in recent years as a prominent model and entrepreneur, notably launching her own makeup line, Ka’Oir Cosmetics. She is also a mother of two children with Gucci Mane.
