A significant leak last year has unveiled the roadmap for Insomniac Games in the near future. In the short-term, fans can eagerly anticipate the release of the much-anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine and a game centered on the notorious anti-hero Venom. Looking further ahead, Insomniac is set to introduce new titles in the Ratchet and Clank series, an X-Men game, and the grand conclusion to their acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man trilogy. As we analyze the current titles and the narrative culmination of Spider-Man 2, we can make educated guesses about the forthcoming adventures awaiting our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Marvel’s Spider-Man enthusiasts are buzzing with theories surrounding key characters like Silk and Doc Ock. In addition to speculating on new gameplay innovations, it’s also essential to revisit the series’ beloved cosmetic system. Players can expect a plethora of returning outfits that allow them to personalize their web-slinging experience as they navigate the sprawling cityscape of New York. Moreover, true to the franchise’s tradition, fresh costumes are likely to make their debut. Though the exact details of future additions remain under wraps, two particular outfits—one based on a collaboration and another tied to the story—are highly anticipated.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 3: A Potential Tribute to Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals has swiftly capitalized on collaborations with the MCU, delivering movie-inspired cosmetic items. The game has not only collaborated with high-profile franchises but also forged partnerships with various Marvel titles. While cosmetics inspired by games like Marvel Snap add a fun twist, the most compelling collaboration thus far has been the bundle with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This package offers players the upgraded version of Peter Parker’s iconic Advanced Suit, featuring the striking white spider emblem that seamlessly fits into the world of Rivals. The bundle also includes a name card, a spray inspired by the cover art of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and an emote showcasing Peter kicking a Symbiote.
Given that Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, also lends his voice to the character in Rivals, players can expect an immersive experience that pays homage to Insomniac’s work through this cinematic cross-over.
Historically, video game collaborations have a tendency to yield interesting results, and considering the nature of Rivals’ previous partnerships, it’s highly plausible that Insomniac Games will incorporate a cosmetic from Marvel Rivals in their forthcoming Spider-Man title. A fitting idea would be to include the cartoonish rendition of Venom from Marvel Rivals as an unlockable skin in the upcoming game. Additionally, Peter Parker’s original costume from Rivals could be a feature in Spider-Man 3, especially given Rivals’ ongoing updates and expansions, which could very well remain relevant for years to come. There’s also the potential for characters like Miles Morales or Silk to be introduced in this timeframe, granting Insomniac even more costume options for players to enjoy.
An Anti-Goblin Suit: A Logical Evolution for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3
While predictions about collaboration suits are fairly straightforward, we can also anticipate an original costume linked to the narrative developments in the series. Previous entries in the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise have showcased Peter acquiring suits explicitly designed to counteract the main villain’s abilities. Therefore, a follow-up suit inspired by the Anti-Ock and Anti-Venom designs would be a natural progression. With the Green Goblin emerging as a significant antagonist in this trilogy’s climax, introducing an Anti-Goblin suit seems inevitable. This suit could incorporate defensive features against Goblin’s glider and explosives, all while sporting a reimagined color palette for distinctiveness.
Although it’s feasible that characters like Silk or Miles Morales could craft Anti-Goblin costumes, it seems more likely that Peter Parker will be the one to wear this hypothetical outfit. His deep-rooted connection to Norman Osborn positions him as the most fitting candidate for such an evolution, and he has already donned the other “Anti”suits. Additional costumes are also likely for the series’ finale, including revamped versions of the Evolved and Advanced suits. Nevertheless, the Anti-Goblin and Marvel Rivals costumes emerge as the frontrunners for the most probable additions to the next installment of the beloved franchise.
