G. Skill continues to push the boundaries of performance with the launch of its latest memory kit tailored for the AMD AM5 platform, particularly designed for the 800 series motherboards. This new offering promises enhanced speeds while maintaining lower latencies, catering to the needs of gamers and PC enthusiasts alike.
Introducing G. Skill’s High-Capacity 48 GB x2 Memory Kit: Blazing Speeds at CL26-39-39-96
As a leading manufacturer in the PC memory industry, G. Skill has made significant strides in developing faster and more efficient DDR5 memory. Just a week prior, the company unveiled several memory kits capable of reaching speeds up to 8000 MT/s for the AM5 platform. G.Skill’s previous offerings included a DDR5-6000 memory kit with impressive 26-39-39 timings; however, the latest release surpasses its predecessors with greater capacity.
The newly launched 48 GB x2 (totaling 96 GB) DDR5 memory kit retains the same superb CL26-39-39-96 timings while achieving speeds of 6000 MT/s. Previously, similar performance was exclusive to the 24 GB x2 (48 GB) configuration. This enhancement enables memory enthusiasts to increase their capacity on the AM5 platform, supporting demanding applications without compromising performance.

According to G. Skill’s rigorous testing, the 96 GB kit maintains speeds of 6000 MT/s at CL26 on the ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero motherboard when paired with the cutting-edge AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. Notably, users can achieve equivalent performance with other configurations, such as the MSI MPG X870E Carbon Wi-Fi with the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X.

What’s more, the new 48 GB DDR5 kit exhibits lower CAS latency (CL) timings while still achieving the impressive 6000 MT/s speed. The previous 2x 24 GB configuration had CL26-39-39 timings, but the upgraded kit now shows CL26-36-36 – a noteworthy improvement. Comprehensive error testing confirms the stability and reliability of these memory timings at peak speed, assuring users of error-free performance.
The variety of memory kits will be available across several popular G. Skill families, such as Trident Z5 Neo RGB, Trident Z5 Royal Neo RGB, and Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB. To leverage these high speeds at the specified timings, users must utilize the latest 800-series motherboards paired with Ryzen 9000 series processors.
G. Skill is set to release its 48 GB and 96 GB DDR5-6000 CL26 memory kits in May 2025, making them available to distribution partners worldwide. This launch represents a substantial advancement in gaming and productivity performance for enthusiasts.
