Grounded 2 Introduces Test Environment for Players to Explore Upcoming Early Access Features

Grounded 2 Public Test Build: An Enhanced Survival Crafting Experience

Obsidian Entertainment has introduced the Grounded 2 Public Test Build as part of its ongoing early access program, allowing players to immerse themselves in the evolving gameplay of this survival crafting adventure. However, the studio acknowledges that certain elements require further refinement based on community feedback before the final early access version is released.

Purpose of the Public Test Build

The decision to implement an additional testing phase stems from Obsidian’s commitment to enhancing the stability of the early access build. According to their official statements, this initiative is designed to tap into the dedicated player community for valuable insights and bug reports.

“The Xbox Insider program is a great way for dedicated Grounded 2 players to provide feedback and bug reports for the latest content made for Grounded 2, ”Obsidian explained.“While the Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access versions of Grounded 2 are also intended to do this, we are looking to make them even more stable by inviting these dedicated players to help us find issues and provide feedback before the content is pushed to Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access.”

How to Access the Test Build

Both PC and Xbox gamers interested in participating can join the Public Test Build as long as they own the game or have access through Game Pass. This gives players a unique opportunity to experience upcoming features and updates before they are formally released.

What’s New in the 0.2 Hairy and Scary Update?

The initial testing phase features the much-anticipated 0.2 Hairy and Scary update, which introduces exciting new content, including:

  • A challenging new boss fight featuring AXL

Important Considerations for Testers

While participating in the Grounded 2 test environment can be exciting, Obsidian has cautioned players that progress made during this phase might not transfer to the main game once the update is officially launched. Players should keep this in mind as they delve into the new features.

Future Developments Ahead

Looking forward, Obsidian has plans for at least two additional major updates in the months to come, which will include new park areas, bosses, quests, and other enhancements, ensuring that the game evolves continually and keeps players engaged.
