Google Unveils Exciting Updates for Nonprofits Globally

In a significant move to enhance support for charitable organizations, Google has announced a series of updates to its Google for Nonprofits program, which is now expanding to over 100 countries worldwide. This initiative aims to empower nonprofits with enhanced access to Google’s tools and resources at no cost or at discounted rates.

Empowering Nonprofits with Google Workspace

Having been established for over ten years, the Google for Nonprofits program has revolutionized the operational capabilities of eligible organizations. One prominent feature is the Workspace for Nonprofits, a premium service that provides complimentary access to essential tools like Gmail, Calendar, Meet, and innovative AI applications such as Gemini and NotebookLM.

Introducing New AI Features

As part of its recent enhancements, Google is introducing ten new AI-driven features to the Workspace for Nonprofits tier. According to a recent survey of over 9, 000 nonprofit organizations, nearly 90% reported improved productivity due to the integration of AI technology. Yet, only 20% indicated that these tools are utilized by at least half of their staff.

List of New AI Features

Here’s what’s included in the latest enhancements to Workspace for Nonprofits:

  • Gems
  • Audio Overviews available in the Gemini app
  • Image generation featuring people in the Gemini app
  • Canvas and quiz functionalities within the Gemini app
