Emerging Google Search Feature: Upload Files and Ask Questions
A new feature is reportedly under development at Google, allowing users to upload files within the search interface and pose questions related to them. This discovery was made by Khushal Bherwani on X, who noticed a paperclip icon accompanying the voice search functionality. Once clicked, this icon facilitates file uploads, transforming the search prompt to say, “Ask anything about this file.”However, it appears that the feature is not yet fully operational, as users have noted that it currently fails to deliver answers pertinent to the uploaded content, indicating that it is still in the testing phase.

If successfully launched, this upload-and-query feature will join a suite of AI enhancements Google has rolled out.
