According to Google’s Workspace status dashboard, the outage appears to be confined to the Asia region, home to more than 4.8 billion individuals. Downdetector has registered upwards of 1, 700 reports from users experiencing issues, with 62% citing difficulties with the website and 35% reporting server connection problems. This unexpected failure has left many in the region unable to participate in important meetings, and as of this report, the service has been disrupted for over three hours.

Google plans to provide updates regarding the outage on its status dashboard tomorrow, November 26, 2025, at 02:00 PST (10:00 UTC).In the interim, users can opt for the mobile application of Google Meet, which appears to be functioning without issues for global users on both iOS and Android devices. While this workaround may help some participants, it is far from optimal for professionals who rely on desktop environments for sharing tools like VSCode or other specialized work materials.

This isn’t the first instance of service interruptions for Google Meet. In light of recent developments, Google has also been making headlines for its advancements in artificial intelligence, unveiling the Gemini 3 model lineup, including Gemini Enterprise, as part of its effort to compete with Microsoft. Additionally, the company launched the Nano Banana Pro, aimed at enhancing image generation and editing capabilities.
