
Samsung Unveils One UI 7 and Galaxy S25 Series
On January 22, Samsung introduced the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series during its Unpacked event, alongside the official announcement of the One UI 7 stable version. The update, previously in beta testing only for the Galaxy S25 lineup across select countries, brought several new features to light.
Introducing the Now Bar
One of the standout features unveiled was the “Now Bar, ”which showcases live activities from supported applications directly on the lock screen of Galaxy smartphones. Initially, this feature supported live notifications, timers, music playback, modes, and routines. It was hinted that Google Maps would also integrate with the Now Bar, and recent developments confirm this addition.

Leaker @theonecid reported the news via social media platform X (formerly Twitter).Users can now receive live directions and other essential information directly from their Google Maps app when using One UI 7 on their Samsung Galaxy devices.

Features of Google Maps on Now Bar

At present, the Now Bar functionality is exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series, the sole devices equipped with the stable One UI 7 update. However, Samsung is poised to expand this update globally, which means other Galaxy models will soon be able to take advantage of these exciting features.
