New Functionalities in Gemini
Currently, users can engage with the Gemini app by long-pressing a response to access various functions, such as:
- Export to Docs
- Draft in Gmail
- Create Public Link
- Share Options
Additionally, a three-dot menu allows users to modify responses, select specific text, and view other drafts.
Streamlining User Experience
The plethora of menus and lists within the current Gemini interface can detract from the overall user experience. The proposed interface update consolidates these options into a single, cohesive menu. This change is set to reduce confusion by ensuring that all functionalities are accessible from a unified location.
Users will be able to bring up the new menu by either long-pressing on a response or utilizing the three-dot menu. Notably, the update also relocates the like and dislike buttons to the top, enhancing visibility and accessibility. Previously situated at the bottom, these buttons will now facilitate quicker feedback. The Drafts option will now be prominently featured at the top of the new interface, moving it from its previous position in the three-dot menu.
