Introducing “Help Me Schedule”Feature in Gmail with Gemini AI

Google has unveiled an innovative feature named “Help me schedule”, powered by its advanced Gemini AI, designed to streamline the process of setting up meetings via email. This feature is currently being rolled out across various Google Workspace tiers and can be accessed conveniently from the toolbar when composing new messages in Gmail.
The Gemini AI, already integrated into Gmail as a side panel, assists users in drafting emails and identifying calendar entries within their messages. The newly introduced scheduling feature enhances this functionality by enabling Gemini to recognize when users need to collaborate on scheduling a meeting via email.
Seamless Meeting Coordination
With this update, a “Help me schedule”button appears in the toolbar during the email composition process. By clicking this button, users can view automated suggestions for optimal meeting times, tailored based on the context of the email and the user’s Google Calendar availability for the upcoming days.

The interface allows users to customize their meeting options easily; for instance, they can click on the pen icon at the top-right corner of the suggestions to add or remove time slots. Recipients of the email can directly select a proposed time slot, facilitating a seamless transition to adding the event to both parties’ calendars.
Current Limitations and Availability
According to Google’s official blog, the “Help me schedule”feature currently supports individual meeting arrangements rather than group scheduling. This feature will be automatically enabled for eligible users, with a full rollout expected to take place over the next few weeks.
Eligible users can access this feature across multiple Google Workspace tiers, including Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Starter and Standard, Frontline Plus, and various educational tiers such as Google AI Pro for Education. Additionally, those with Gemini Business or Enterprise add-ons will also benefit from this enhancement.
Alternative Options
If the “Help me schedule”feature has not yet been activated for your account, you can still manually arrange meetings by clicking the three-dot menu in the Compose interface and selecting “Set up a time to meet”from your Google Calendar.
Stay ahead with Google’s evolving tools to increase productivity and enhance communication.
