Gloria Allred: Prominent Attorney Representing Victims, Files Lawsuit Against Diddy Amid Allegations

Renowned attorney Gloria Allred is advocating for Thalia Graves, the most recent plaintiff to file a lawsuit for s*xual assault against Sean “Diddy”Combs. On Tuesday, Gloria submitted a comprehensive 26-page complaint in a New York federal court on behalf of Thalia, which also implicates Diddy’s former bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, in the alleged assault.

During a press conference on September 24, Thalia was visibly emotional as Gloria read the details of the complaint. At the age of 83, Gloria has handled numerous high-profile cases and is recognized for her steadfast commitment to women’s rights, earning her a spot in the National Women’s Hall of Fame.

According to Gloria Allred’s official website, she began her academic journey studying English as an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania, completing her Master of Arts from New York University. She later earned a Juris Doctor cum laude from Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles.

Gloria is also the co-founder of the law firm Allred, Maroko & Goldberg, established in 1976, alongside her classmates from Loyola, Michael Maroko and Nathan Goldberg. Additionally, she is the founder and current president of the non-profit organization, Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund.

Throughout her career, Gloria Allred has represented several high-profile clients in celebrity cases, including multiple women accusing Bill Cosby, Rachel Uchitel in the Tiger Woods incident, and Amber Frey in the murder trial of Laci Peterson against Scott Peterson. In another recent case, she represented the family of a minor girl regarding alleged inappropriate relations with NBA player Josh Giddey.

“We are seeking justice for Thalia”— Gloria Allred demands at press conference

Thalia Graves’ lawsuit follows Diddy’s recent arrest by federal agents on charges related to racketeering, s*x trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of pr*stitution.

The victim, who dated a former employee of Diddy at Bad Boy Records, alleges that Diddy lured her to a New York studio in 2001. According to Thalia, Joseph Sherman, Diddy’s head bodyguard, allegedly spiked her drink, rendering her unconscious.

Upon regaining consciousness, Thalia claims she found herself unclothed with her hands bound behind her. She alleges that Diddy and Joseph then proceeded to r*pe and physically assault her.

During the press conference, Thalia shared that she was undergoing a divorce and had a young child at the time, factors that, alongside threats from Diddy and Joseph, prevented her from reporting the r*pe. Thalia expressed:

“The internal pain after being s*xually assaulted has been incredibly deep and hard to put into words. It goes beyond just physical harm caused by enduring episode.”

She elaborated on the “emotional scar”that the incident created, explaining how it has continuously impacted her ability to live a normal life:

“Being blamed, questioned, and threatened has often made me feel worthless, isolated, and sometimes responsible for what happened to me.”

Thalia Graves noted that she did not receive the emotional support she needed from her family following the alleged assault, leading to struggles with depression, anxiety attacks, and PTSD.

In a shocking revelation in 2023, Thalia learned from her former boyfriend that Diddy and Joseph possessed video footage of the alleged r*pe and had shared it with various individuals over the years, even selling it as adult content.

Gloria Allred remarked at the press conference:

“We are asking for justice for Thalia. She has suffered years of emotional and physical pain due to the heinous acts allegedly committed against her.”

When questioned about whether she had seen the alleged footage, Gloria replied:

“I have not seen the video, nor do I wish to view it. It’s a violation that should never have existed.”

Thalia Graves becomes the 11th person to file a lawsuit against Diddy over s*x crime allegations, amidst a series of complaints that gained traction following the lawsuit filed by Diddy’s ex, Cassie Ventura, last November.
