Glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone Lets Players Use Classic Camos on Black Ops 6 Weapons

Overview

  • Players in Warzone can apply camos from Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) to weapons featured in Black Ops 6.
  • This glitch requires collaboration with another player and must be executed in a private match environment.
  • Since this technique is unofficial, it’s subject to being corrected or removed in upcoming updates.

The gaming community has recently identified an intriguing glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone that enables players to use weapon skins (camos) from 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 on the newly introduced weapons in Black Ops 6. This feature was anticipated by many, as players often invest considerable time earning unique camos. Currently, despite the availability of Modern Warfare 3 weapons in Warzone, a significant number of players gravitate toward the ‘meta’ weapons from Black Ops 6, which leaves their hard-earned MW3 camos underutilized.

In typical Call of Duty fashion, gamers are diligently pursuing the epic mastery camos in Black Ops 6. These camos can be acquired through in-game challenges rather than requiring additional purchases like weapon blueprints. To unlock prestigious skins like gold, diamond, and dark matter, players must accomplish various milestones—most notably, achieving one hundred headshots with multiple weapons. However, for those who have already secured mastery camos in MW3, these skins become less relevant in Warzone with the release of Black Ops 6. Fortunately, this new glitch may offer a workaround.

The New Camo Glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone

Players eager to flaunt their Modern Warfare 3 weapon camos on Black Ops 6 guns within Warzone now have a workaround, albeit an unofficial one. Notably, this glitch came to light thanks to Twitter user BSPGamin, whose post was highlighted by Dexerto. As with many gameplay glitches, this could be resolved in future updates by Treyarch Studios and Raven Software.

Executing this glitch, however, requires the assistance of a friend. The process begins by setting up a private match in Warzone, where players need to first equip a weapon from Black Ops 6 in the first loadout slot. Following this, players should join their friend’s lobby. Next, they need to switch to a MW3 weapon in the first loadout slot and rapidly select the desired camo. Once this is in progress, the host must transition to a private match. After completing these preliminary steps, the friend must exit the private match, allowing the player to go back to the weapon and spam select the camo while the friend re-enters the private match. If performed correctly, the camo will appear on the Black Ops 6 weapon.

For players who prefer using the camos inherent to Black Ops 6 but are still working towards unlocking all mastery editions, Treyarch is actively developing a new challenge tracking feature set to debut in an upcoming update. This system, reminiscent of the Challenge Tracker in 2023’s Modern Warfare 3, was missed in Black Ops 6 but will be making a return. Fans can anticipate having an easier time managing challenges in the next installment of updates.
