Exciting New Shiny Pokémon Giveaways in Pokémon Home!
The Pokémon Company International has revealed an exciting update for Pokémon enthusiasts: two new shiny Pokémon are now up for grabs in Pokémon Home. Starting from February 12, 2025, you can collect Keldeo and Meltan as part of this exclusive giveaway.
How to Obtain Keldeo and Meltan
To add Keldeo to your collection, you must complete the Galar Pokédex in either Pokémon Sword or Shield. On the other hand, to acquire Meltan, you will need to finish the Kanto Pokédex in Let’s Go, Pikachu or Let’s Go, Eevee.
Details of the Shiny Pokémon
If you’re fortunate enough to receive these shiny Pokémon, they will both arrive at level 50. Keldeo comes equipped with moves such as Aqua Tail, Double Kick, Quick Guard, and Sacred Sword. Meanwhile, Meltan will feature a moveset that includes Acid Armor, Flash Cannon, Headbutt, and Thunder Wave.
Previous Giveaways in the Series
This event marks the third shiny Pokémon giveaway linked to game completion within Pokémon Home. The inaugural giveaway launched in October 2024, featuring the shiny version of Meloetta. Players needed to complete the Paldea, Blueberry, and Kitakami Pokédexes in Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, along with its DLC, to snag this special Pokémon.
Following that, a second giveaway took place in January 2025, introducing shiny Enamorus and Manaphy. To obtain Manaphy, players were required to finish the Pokédex in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, while Enamorus was linked to the Hisuian Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Availability of Pokémon Games and Pokémon Home
Pokémon titles such as Let’s Go, Pikachu, Let’s Go, Eevee, Pokémon Sword, and Pokémon Shield are currently available on the Nintendo Switch. Additionally, Pokémon Home can be accessed on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, making it easier than ever to manage your Pokémon collection and participate in exciting giveaways like the shiny Keldeo and Meltan event.
