Gigabyte has introduced an innovative lineup of three X870 ICE motherboards alongside its cutting-edge X3D Turbo Mode technology, designed to enhance the capabilities of AMD Ryzen CPUs.

During an impressive session at Computex 2025, Gigabyte showcased its next-generation X3D Turbo Mode 2, a state-of-the-art feature aimed at optimizing the performance of AMD Ryzen processors across both gaming and productivity applications.

This powerful dual-tech tool encompasses several advanced functions, but can be distilled into four key capabilities:

In a compelling demonstration, Gigabyte illustrated the performance benefits of its X3D Turbo Mode 2 exceeding those of AMD’s Core Performance Boost (CPB).The enhancements become particularly noticeable during heavy system utilization.

The performance gains through X3D Turbo Mode 2 are significant, revealing a remarkable 10% increase in creator applications. In gaming scenarios, such as Cyberpunk 2077, users can expect an impressive 15% performance boost compared to stock Ryzen configurations. The technology also facilitates a remarkable 35% improvement in multithreaded workloads.

Another noteworthy advancement in Gigabyte’s new ICE motherboards is the innovative M.2 EZ-Flex design, which ensures SSDs maintain optimal contact with the heatsink. This approach provides flexible pressure on both ends of the storage device, achieving a potential temperature reduction of up to 12 °C compared to traditional motherboard designs.

Additionally, Gigabyte has enhanced its BIOS architecture by doubling the Driver flash memory (from 32 MB to 64 MB).This retrofit allows the storage of Wi-Fi drivers directly within the BIOS, simplifying the setup process for new PC builds and fresh Windows installations. Users can afterwards update Wi-Fi drivers via any local storage device.

Gigabyte has launched a trio of state-of-the-art motherboards: the X870 AORUS Master X3D ICE, X870 AORUS PRO X3D ICE, and the X870 AORUS ELITE X3D ICE.

These motherboards feature a distinguished white aesthetic and are meticulously designed for top-tier overclocking, advanced I/O options, and cooling solutions. Their robust architecture ensures they are fully equipped to meet the demands of high-performance configurations.
