Yuju to Scale Back Performances Due to Health Issues
In a recent announcement, Yuju, a member of the popular K-pop group GFRIEND, will be adjusting her performance schedule due to health-related concerns. This decision comes after she experienced discomfort in her throat, prompting a visit to the hospital.
According to an official statement released by SOURCE MUSIC on Weverse, Yuju has been diagnosed with vocal cord inflammation. Following consultations with medical professionals, she has been advised to minimize her vocal usage temporarily.
“Following the medical team’s advice, Yuju will be limiting her vocal performances during GFRIEND’s upcoming events,”SOURCE MUSIC stated. The agency emphasized the importance of her health and will monitor her recovery closely.
Yuju is expected to participate in GFRIEND’s special concert series, “Season of Memories,”scheduled from January 17 (Friday) to January 19 (Sunday). However, her involvement will consist of minimal singing and speaking to avoid further strain on her vocal cords.
The agency added, “We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize our artists’ health and their recovery process. Thank you for your support.”In celebration of their 10th anniversary, GFRIEND has also released a special album, “Season of Memories,”as a gift to their dedicated fanbase, known as Buddies.
To elevate the excitement surrounding their comeback, GFRIEND debuted a stunning music video for the title track of the album, adding further anticipation among fans.
