“Getting on My Nerves” — Real Housewives of Potomac Viewers Slam Ashley’s Dispute with Karen

The latest episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, season 9, episode 3, premiered on October 20, 2024. This installment featured a notable confrontation between Karen and Ashley at Jassi’s residence, where they deliberated over Gizelle’s decision to exclude the cast from her event.

Upon Karen’s arrival, she found Ashley and Jassi embroiled in a dispute regarding Jassi closing the door on Ashley, preventing her from entering. When asked to clarify the situation, Ashley revealed that Gizelle had informed her that Karen deliberately chose not to invite the rest of the cast to prevent any conflicts, yet later sent out a group invitation after all.

Ashley pressed Karen about the award she was receiving, critiquing her for being secretive, while Stacey intervened on Karen’s behalf, asserting that Karen had indeed responded to all inquiries. This back-and-forth sparked a heated discussion among the RHOP cast, prompting mixed reactions from fans online. One user tweeted:

“Ashley is really starting to irritate me this season. She’s not being a true friend at all.”

“Ashley came unprepared. She’s just trying to stir up drama over nothing,”commented a viewer.

“Ashley was quick to bring up potentially serious issues about Karen when the topic was just about her feet. She’s fortunate she didn’t pull that with Candiace, or there would’ve been tears,”another tweeted.

Many fans took to social media to critique Ashley’s behavior:

“That was one of the rare decent points Ashley had, but Karen’s response made it fizzle out. LOL! Poor thing,”wrote one user.

“Ashley has been itching to confront Karen. It’s clear she knows her position is shaky for next season, so she’s keeping the heat on,”another remarked.

“Honestly, Karen should’ve anticipated that response from Ashley. After being called out on personal matters like Michael’s behavior and her bunions, Ashley had no choice but to defend herself!”noted another user.

RHOP viewers continued to express their opinions:

“Ashley isn’t a genuine friend; she just wants the gossip and to fire low blows,”said one fan.

“Karen should’ve pointed out that Ashley’s lucky Michael avoided jail time, because he might be bending bars more often than in the real world,”added another commenter.

The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 Episode 3: A Clash between Ashley and Karen Regarding her Event and DUI

During the third episode of season 9, the tension escalated as Karen defended her choice to invite the cast to her event, which coincided with Gizelle’s. When questioned about the group invite, Karen described her award as “very prestigious,”expressing her desire to celebrate it with her peers.

Ashley confronted Karen about her lack of transparency regarding the award details, countering that Karen had refused to share them last week. In response, Karen claimed she was engaged elsewhere at that time. Stacey came to Karen’s aid, insisting that Karen had indeed answered all questions posed to her, while Ashley dismissed this as mere “deflection.”

The conversation took a sharper turn when Karen referenced Ashley’s ex-husband’s alleged misconduct that had been exposed after season 1 and pointedly recalled Ashley’s terrifying experience with a DUI in March 2024, reminding her of how she could have endangered others that night.

“Or, taken the life of someone else,”Ashley retorted.

In her defense, Karen expressed gratitude that no harm came to anyone else and reminisced about how Ashley had gifted her Uber vouchers earlier in the season, suggesting that Ashley’s behavior seemed shady. Karen quipped that perhaps Ashley should have kept the vouchers to find someone to help with her bunions.

Fan reactions to this exchange were overwhelmingly critical of Ashley’s approach.

Episodes 1 through 3 of The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 are currently available for streaming on Bravo.
