Genshin Impact Version 5.4: Is It Worth Saving Wishes for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne?

Genshin Impact Version 5.4: Is It Worth Saving Wishes for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne?

As players explore the world of Genshin Impact, the recent announcement concerning Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sigewinne in Version 5.4 brings important considerations for F2P (free-to-play) gamers. Accumulating enough resources, particularly Primogems, can be a challenge, especially given the constraints imposed on free players. Yumemizuki Mizuki is a newly introduced 5-star Anemo character from Inazuma, known for her dual role as a healer and buffer for team compositions. In contrast, Sigewinne is a 5-star Hydro healer. Both characters will be featured in the Phase 1 banners for Genshin Impact 5.4, a detail confirmed by HoYoverse.

Mizuki holds a unique position as the only new character among the two. This Anemo character wields a catalyst, enabling her to inflict Anemo damage through her various attack types, setting her apart from characters using different weapon types. The launch of Mizuki as both a playable character and NPC coincides with the Traveler’s anticipated return to Inazuma for the Mikawa Flower Festival, the highlight event of Version 5.4. Additional activities, such as the battle tower event, will also challenge players’ combat strategies during this patch.

As stated earlier, both Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sigewinne will be available in Phase 1 banners for the latest update. This phase will initiate when the update launches and remain accessible for three weeks, culminating on March 4. During this period, players will also have the opportunity to acquire their unique signature 5-star weapons: Sunny Morning Sleep-In for Mizuki and Silvershower Heartstrings for Sigewinne.

Following the conclusion of Phase 1, these featured characters will be replaced by Wriothesley and Furina, who are slated for the Phase 2 banners. Therefore, players interested in pulling for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne should do so before March 4. Although it is uncertain when these characters will appear in limited-time banners again, it has been established that Mizuki will be included in the standard banner loot pool after Version 5.5. This means players can obtain her from the standard Wish banners in Genshin Impact.

Additionally, it’s important to highlight that every X.0 update gives players the chance to choose a free 5-star character from the standard banner, a feature introduced with Version 5.0. Consequently, players can acquire Yumemizuki Mizuki at no cost during Version 6.0.

Evaluating the Pros & Cons of Pulling for Yumemizuki Mizuki in Genshin Impact 5.4

Healing & Buffing Capabilities of Mizuki

Before deciding to pull for Yumemizuki Mizuki in Version 5.4, players should carefully weigh the character’s advantages and drawbacks. Mizuki’s kit positions her as a valuable support or healer, and her Elemental Skill allows her to enter the Dreamdrifter state, resulting in enhanced movement speed and the ability to deal periodic AoE Anemo damage to nearby foes. This state also boosts the Swirl damage inflicted by her allies.

Utilizing her Elemental Burst, Mizuki can draw in enemies, similar to characters like Sucrose and Kazuha, while summoning Mini Baku. This creature periodically drops snacks with variable effects based on the active character’s health status. When an active character with over 70% HP picks up a snack, it detonates, dealing AoE Anemo damage. Conversely, if the character’s HP is 70% or lower, the snack will heal them based on Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery.

However, it’s crucial to note that Mizuki’s overall healing output isn’t comparable to dedicated healers in the game. With around 1, 000 Elemental Mastery, her Elemental Burst can yield about 3, 000 HP recovery per snack, which might not justify the investment in her build. Players should view Mizuki more as a Swirl support character rather than a primary healer, especially since her buffs dissipate when she leaves the field, limiting the ability to quickly transition to a main DPS character.

Furthermore, given that Mizuki will soon join the standard banner loot pool, acquiring her from premium banners may not be worth the investment of Intertwined Fate and Primogems, particularly in Genshin Impact 5.4.

Analyzing the Pros & Cons of Pulling for Sigewinne in Genshin Impact 5.4

Sigewinne as a Dedicated Healer

Sigewinne, Genshin Impact's 5-star Hydro character, is portrayed holding a large syringe.

In contrast, Sigewinne distinguishes herself as a 5-star bow user specializing in Hydro damage. Her primary role involves providing healing through her Elemental Skill, which offers tiered benefits up to two levels while charging for enhanced damage to opponents. Additionally, she produces Sourcewater Droplets that can be collected to gain a Bond of Life, which allows her to recharge her Burst by clearing the bond.

While Sigewinne’s healing is consistent enough to designate her as the dedicated sustain character in a team, her charging time can prove inefficient during critical battles. She is also susceptible to interruptions while casting, which could severely impede her healing capabilities. Compared to Mizuki, Sigewinne’s passive ability grants a slight Elemental Skill damage boost to her allies, making her a more attractive option in Version 5.4 for those seeking support.

However, Sigewinne has her own set of challenges. Her slow casting times, vulnerability to interruption, and a less than impactful Burst (if players lack her signature weapon or C6 constellation) restrict her full potential. Other characters like Furina, who is slated for rerun in Phase 2 banners, may offer better utility in team compositions. Therefore, players considering their options might find it prudent to skip the Phase 1 banners entirely and reserve their resources for stronger characters in the current patch.
