Genshin Impact PS4 Version Facing Delisting and End of Support

End of Support for Genshin Impact on PS4 Announced by HoYoVerse

HoYoVerse has officially announced the discontinuation of Genshin Impact on the PlayStation 4 platform. As of September 10, 2025, the game will no longer be available for download from the PlayStation Store, marking a significant milestone for both the game and its community. Furthermore, the ability to make in-game purchases will be disabled starting February 2, 2026, with all support and updates for the PS4 version ceasing completely on April 8, 2026.

Reasons Behind the Decision

The developer cited “hardware performance and platform application size” as critical factors influencing this decision. Although players can continue to enjoy the game even after it is removed from the store and in-game purchases are halted, they will eventually need to transition to another platform once update support concludes. HoYoVerse indicated that players would receive prompts to facilitate this switch, starting December 17, 2025. Switching accounts can be done easily through the in-game Paimon Menu by navigating to Settings, selecting Account, and then visiting the User Center.

Upcoming Game Update: Genshin Impact 6.0

This announcement coincides with the upcoming Genshin Impact 6.0 update, titled Song of the Welkin Moon, which will impose new performance requirements across various platforms. Notably, this update will not affect the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X versions of the game, ensuring that players on those systems will not encounter the same limitations.
