Choosing Between Iansan and Bennett in Genshin Impact
For newcomers to the game or those who have yet to acquire Bennett through standard pulls, Iansan presents a viable option. Unlike other 4-star characters, whose attack buffs may depend on specific elemental compositions—like Lynette—Iansan grants a straightforward 27% attack boost that does not necessitate remaining within a designated area. This makes her an excellent addition to any party.
Is Iansan a Suitable Replacement for Bennett?
If you already own Bennett and have not activated his sixth constellation, it’s important to note that Iansan does not replace him effectively. At level one, Bennett’s ultimate ability offers a staggering 56% attack buff, which exceeds Iansan’s fixed 27%.Moreover, as Bennett’s talents level up, his buff potential significantly increases, while Iansan’s scaling remains static.
When equipped with the Favonius Lance, Iansan mirrors Bennett’s energy generation with her skills and also provides healing through her ultimate ability. The Favonius Lance optimally enhances Iansan’s performance; however, to maximize her buffs, she requires elevated Nightsoul Points. Notably, Iansan can fit into parties outside of Natlan, which adds versatility to her utility.
Iansan also offers additional attack buffs (30%) and a general damage increase (25%), but these are contingent upon her second and sixth constellations. With these enhancements, her overall scaling can reach 55%, albeit still lower than Bennett’s base multiplier. Additionally, Bennett benefits from greater synergy through Pyro Resonance, allowing players to optimize two party slots for other roles.
That said, if your goal involves supporting a split-party strategy in challenging areas like the Spiral Abyss, adding Iansan can be beneficial. Her buffs permit more freedom of movement compared to Bennett’s, which can be a distinct advantage in certain combat scenarios.
