With the highly anticipated 5.8 update of Genshin Impact now live, players can dive into the exciting Sunspray Summer Resort event featuring the beloved character Bennett. Accompanying this release, HoYoVerse has unveiled two captivating videos that delve into Bennett’s background, offering intriguing insights into his journey from the past to the present. Be aware, both videos contain significant Genshin Impact spoilers.

These videos, part of the quest titled “The Surprise That Awaits Us All”, were made available on August 5, 2025. While both clips reveal crucial information about Bennett, the first video stands out by showcasing him as an infant, providing viewers with detailed contexts regarding his upbringing. This narrative heavily features a group of adventurers named Aroni and Macani, along with their companions Anja and Chaco, who collectively make up the team known as Tecpatl’s Flintblades.
The second video acts as a delightful conclusion to the Sunspray Summer Resort event, capturing the characters enjoying their time together as the questline wraps up. Notably, it also contains references to Bennett’s intriguing backstory.
Bennett, a four-star Pyro character wielding a sword, is a constant presence in Genshin Impact. Players can acquire his exclusive outfit for free during the ongoing 5.8 event; however, this outfit will transition to a paid item once version 6.0 launches.
Genshin Impact is currently accessible on various platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. Notably, the game will not be available on PS4 after September 10, 2025, with plans for the complete shutdown of the platform by April 8, 2026, as announced by HoYoVerse.
