The Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream has unveiled extensive new details about the upcoming 5.1 patch for the game. This update marks the second patch for the Pyro region, bringing new story content, characters, banners, and exciting events. Fans can look forward to experiencing this new version when it goes live on October 9, 2024.

Genshin Impact 5.1 Livestream Highlights

New Character

During the Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream, it was confirmed that Xilonen will be the sole new 5-Star unit introduced in this version. This was anticipated through her drip marketing, but it is now officially confirmed.

Xilonen is classified as a 5-Star Geo character, making her the third 5-Star unit introduced in the Natlan patches. She serves as a remarkable support character capable of significantly enhancing her teammates’ damage output, thus making her a valuable addition to any roster.

Event Wishes

The characters featured in Event Wishes for Genshin Impact version 5.1 are as follows:

New Weapons

As showcased in the Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream, Xilonen’s signature weapon is a 5-Star sword named Peak Patrol Song, which will be available in the Weapon Banner alongside her Event Wish, starting from October 9, 2024.

Additionally, several new weapons will also debut in version 5.1, including:

New Archon Quests

Genshin Impact 5.1 will continue the narrative from the previous two acts of the Archon Quest, introducing two new acts titled:

Archon Quest Act III: Beyond the Smoke and Mirrors
Archon Quest Act IV: The Rainbow Destined to Burn

In these acts, the Traveler will work alongside characters like Mavuika, Kinich, Chasca, Xilonen, and Citlali to address the ongoing crisis in Natlan, with appearances from Capitano and Ororon.

New Boss

The Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream also featured a new boss, the Secret Source Constructor, which will be available to challenge with the patch’s launch. This Automaton Machine boss, upon defeat, will yield special rewards for players.

The main event, “Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses,”will take the Traveler back to Sumeru for Nahida’s birthday and the Sabzeruz Festival, offering a free Candace reward once specific criteria are met. Other events like Marvelous Merchandise will feature returning characters like Liben.

New Envisaged Echoes

After the release of Genshin Impact 5.1, players will be able to challenge the Envisaged Echoes domains of Zhongli and Keqing, and completing these domains will reward players with their respective Echoes.

System and Quality of Life Improvements

As discussed during the livestream, Genshin Impact 5.1 will introduce several system updates and Quality of Life (QOL) enhancements, including:

1) Limited-Time Area Exploration Rewards

Starting in version 5.1, players can earn a total of 400 Primogems for exploring new areas within two versions of their release date. Players who reach 80% exploration in areas released in version 5.0 will be able to claim their rewards once version 5.1 is live.

2) Skip Feature Added to Spiral Abyss

From version 5.1 onward, players can skip Floors 9 and 10 of the Spiral Abyss if Floor 12 has been cleared with full stars in the prior phase. After skipping, the challenge will begin from Floor 11 in the current phase. Similarly, players who achieved full stars on Floor 11 can directly start from Floor 10.

3) Artifact Set Filtering Revamp

With Genshin Impact 5.1, the game will now remember and save artifact set filters for each character, eliminating the need to readjust settings after every session. Additionally, sorting by Affixes for individual artifact slots will now be an option.

4) Optimized Character Building and Material Crafting

Starting in version 5.1, players will see the count of craftable items directly in their inventory. When selecting an item like the Polarizing Prism, the system will display the amount you can craft based on your existing materials.

Moreover, players can now select characters directly from the Crafting Bench to view and automatically calculate the materials necessary for character and weapon ascensions, as well as talent leveling. This streamlines the crafting experience significantly.
