Gemini Advanced Users Can Now Access Google’s State-of-the-Art AI Model 1.5 Pro-002

Gemini Advanced is Google’s premium subscription plan, designed to provide subscribers with access to the most advanced AI models developed by Google, along with priority access to new features. Recently, Google announced that Gemini Advanced is now enhanced with the latest Gemini 1.5 Pro version. According to the announcement, this new, chat-optimized version of the 1.5 Pro-002 model will deliver superior and more precise responses for prompts associated with mathematics and complex topics requiring in-depth conversation. If you leverage Gemini for solving advanced mathematical problems or multifaceted instructions, this new 1.5 Pro-002 model is designed to provide substantial improvements.

Internal testing by Google reveals that the 1.5 Pro-002 model offers approximately a 7% increase in MMLU-Pro, around a 20% improvement in MATH and HiddenMath benchmarks, as well as enhancements of 2-7% in vision and code-related applications. In addition to these metrics, Google has elevated the overall helpfulness of the model’s responses. It’s also worth noting that the output length of the updated models is approximately 5-20% shorter compared to previous iterations.

Last month, Google introduced the rollout of the Gemini Live experience to all Gemini Advanced subscribers who have their language set to English (United States). Now available on any Android phone or tablet through the latest Gemini mobile app or as a mobile assistant, Gemini Live enhances user interaction. Additionally, subscribers of the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on can now obtain extra information on pertinent topics directly within Gemini responses. Google also plans to display links to supporting resources at the end of each paragraph.
