ASUS TUF Gaming F16 Showcases New RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 Laptop GPUs with Powerful GDDR7 Memory
The upcoming GeForce RTX 5060 is confirmed to utilize advanced GDDR7 memory, while earlier disclosures suggested that the GeForce RTX 5050 might incorporate GDDR6 memory for its laptop edition. A previous leak involving an LG gaming laptop back in January featured the RTX 5050 with 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM; however, fresh insights hint toward a potential shift to GDDR7 memory.
Though uncertainty remains about the desktop variant’s memory specifications, the laptop version of the RTX 5050 seems poised to adopt faster memory capabilities. This intel comes from Moroccan retailer Mediazone, which has disclosed product listings for the new ASUS TUF Gaming F16 model. This upgraded version is designed to replace the existing F16 model that currently includes Intel’s 13th-generation CPUs combined with either the RTX 4060 or RTX 4050.

The new TUF Gaming F16 will feature the powerful RTX 50 series GPUs, which include the RTX 5070, RTX 5060, and RTX 5050. Both the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 will reportedly have a memory capacity of 8 GB utilizing the same GDDR7 memory. Furthermore, these gaming laptops are set to be powered by Intel’s 14th-generation Core i7 processors, with pre-orders already being accepted. The pricing for the RTX 5050 model is listed at 19, 900 DH, equivalent to approximately US$2066 including VAT, which breaks down to an original price of around $1722.

For the RTX 5060 variant, the gaming laptop is priced at 21, 490 DH, or about US$2231 once VAT is included, with a pre-VAT price of $1860. While the exact release date is still unconfirmed, there are indications that OEMs and vendors are gearing up for the launches of their RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 products. This includes the recently unveiled HP OMEN 16L gaming PC featuring the RTX 5060 Ti.
According to industry sources, the RTX 5060 Ti, available in both 8 GB and 16 GB configurations, is expected to launch in mid-April, while the RTX 5060 will follow in mid-May. The launch timeline for the RTX 5050 remains undisclosed but is likely to occur shortly after the RTX 5060. Enthusiasts are hopeful that the RTX 5050 will also feature GDDR7 memory, which would deliver speeds nearly 10 Gbps faster than the GDDR6 used in its predecessor, the RTX 4050. In contrast, reports regarding GDDR6 for the desktop variant appear more substantiated, although no official confirmation has been presented.
