
G-Dragon Set to Launch First World Tour in Nearly Eight Years
Renowned solo artist and BIGBANG leader G-Dragon is on the brink of a significant musical milestone, preparing for his first world tour in almost eight years. This highly anticipated event follows his recent announcement of a new album, which is expected to be released in mid-February, as reported by The Korea Herald.
Promotional Appearances and Concerts
In the lead-up to the tour, G-Dragon will make an appearance on a variety show airing on February 16. This will set the stage for a two-day concert in Korea, marking the official start of his international tour.
A Long-Awaited Solo Album
This upcoming project, whose title has yet to be unveiled, marks his first solo LP release in 13 years and his first solo album in over seven years. The album will include popular singles released last year, such as “Power”and “Home Sweet Home.”
Reflecting on His Last Tour
G-Dragon’s previous concert tour, the Act III: M. O.T. T.E World Tour, commenced in Seoul in June 2017, promoting his EP, Kwon Ji Yong, and concluded that October in Taipei, Taiwan. This new tour promises to reignite the excitement among fans and celebrate G-Dragon’s return to the stage.
Recent Appearances and Charity Work
After a lengthy hiatus, G-Dragon was recently sighted at Paris Fashion Week, attending the Spring/Summer 2025 haute couture show for Chanel, where he had previously served as an ambassador.
While in Paris, he also performed at the Gala des Pièces Jaunes charity event, aimed at supporting underprivileged children, alongside notable artists including BTS’ J-Hope, Taeyang, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, John Legend, and Bruno Mars.
