GameMax Reveals Dragon Knight 2 Full Tower Case with 8 HDD Slots and Pre-Installed ARGB Fans Priced at $105

GameMax has revealed its latest offering, the Dragon Knight 2, an upgraded version of the original Dragon Knight full tower case. This new iteration stays true to its predecessor’s iconic design, specifically the capacity to hold up to eight hard disk drives (HDDs), making it an ideal choice for high-end gaming PCs and professional workstations.

Key Features of the Dragon Knight 2: Enhanced Support and Design

The Dragon Knight 2 supports sizable components with its spacious interior, accommodating E-ATX motherboards. Additionally, users can seamlessly integrate mini-ATX, micro-ATX, or standard ATX motherboards, enhancing versatility in system building. The case is engineered with extensive cutouts in the motherboard tray, facilitating effective cable management for a neat and organized setup, which can be easily admired through the acrylic side panel.

A Focus on Storage Capabilities

One of the standout characteristics of the Dragon Knight 2 is its remarkable storage solution. It features 8 HDD slots, reminiscent of 2010s full-tower designs, providing ample room for extensive storage drives. Users also have the flexibility to install up to 8 SSDs, plus an additional 2 SSDs in place of HDDs, significantly boosting storage potential.

However, it is important to note that the design of the storage rack occupies space in the front area, relegating the PSU shroud to approximately 65% of the case’s interior. This design choice allows users to conveniently conceal the PSU and cables. The case also boasts a built-in HDD hot-swap feature and a 3-in-1 card reader for added user convenience.

Cooling Solutions and Ventilation

Equipped with 5 pre-installed ARGB fans, the Dragon Knight 2 ensures effective cooling. The case also has provisions for accommodating All-in-One (AIO) cooling units, with room for radiators up to 240mm on the top and 120mm at the rear. However, users should be aware that the front and bottom areas do not support radiator installation due to the space taken up by the storage rack.

The design encompasses comprehensive ventilation, featuring appropriately placed mesh covers and dust filters at the top and bottom to keep dust at bay. Proper airflow is prioritized, ensuring all components remain cool during operation.

Component Clearance and Pricing

While GameMax has yet to disclose exhaustive specifications regarding component clearance, it is expected to mirror that of the original Dragon Knight. This translates to approximately 420mm VGA clearance, 170mm CPU cooler clearance, and 20mm clearance for cable management alongside the side panel.

The GameMax Dragon Knight 2 carries a price tag of $105.90, although details regarding its availability have not been released yet.
