Date Everything Delayed: New Launch Window Announced
Exciting news for fans of dating simulations: Date Everything, a unique game in which players form romantic connections with anthropomorphic objects, has experienced a delay. Originally slated for a Valentine’s Day 2025 release, the game will now launch in June 2025. The development team at Sassy Chap Games has decided to postpone the launch to enhance the game’s quality.
Quality Assurance Takes Priority
Ray Chase, the voice actor and lead designer for the project, shared valuable insights into this decision, explaining that the extra four months will be dedicated to thorough quality assurance testing. As the team began their final testing phases, they recognized the extensive amount of content and possible pathways within the game that required careful review.
“Since we last updated you on development, we have been extremely hard at work finishing work on Date Everything! And at this point I can confidently say that we have reached that point where the game is complete to a standard that we feel reached our goals with no compromise in our bonkers artistic vision.”
Commitment to Quality Over Quick Release
Chase continued, expressing some initial overconfidence regarding their timeline, leading to needing more time to properly test the intricate content and numerous paths in the game. He acknowledged that rushing the release would not serve the players well and noted:
“Our bug list is finally starting to dwindle down as QA gets through the labyrinthine story pathing, but to submit our game in the state with so many outstanding glitches would be doing you a disservice. We have our final release date set for June 2025. And while it isn’t quite as sexy as Valentine’s Day, we hope we can bring new sexiness to June evermore.”
For those curious, Chase humorously commented that players can even “date the glitches, ”affectionately referring to one as Daemon, reinforcing the game’s playful and unconventional theme.
Expanding the Roster of Love Interests
Leading up to the launch, Sassy Chap Games has gradually been unveiling more of the game’s charming love interests. Among the highlights were twelve characters introduced during their promotional campaign, the “12 Dates of Christmas, ” which took place in December 2024.
