GALAX has officially launched its advanced GeForce RTX 5080 Hall of Fame (HOF) GPU, showcasing remarkable power delivery capabilities, impressive out-of-the-box overclocking performance, and an elegant white design.
Introduction of the Flagship RTX 5080 HOF OC LAB Plus & X Editions
Recently, GALAX unveiled one of the standout models in its RTX 50 series lineup. As a key partner of NVIDIA, GALAX has been teasing its GPU lineup for some time, but it has now introduced the highly anticipated flagship. If you’re familiar with GALAX, you know that its HOF (Hall of Fame) editions are synonymous with top-tier performance and quality.

The newly released HOF editions for the GeForce RTX 5080 include the RTX 5080 HOF OC LAB Plus and RTX 5080 HOF OC LAB Plus X. Although GALAX has yet to announce an RTX 5090 HOF edition, that possibility remains open. HOF editions are well-known for achieving optimal boost clocks, tailored for extreme overclocking enthusiasts. Consequently, they are a favored choice among overclockers aiming to set world records.
Exceptional Power Management and Performance
The RTX 5080 HOF GPUs exhibit outstanding VRM architecture, delivering unparalleled power stability essential for reaching higher performance levels. These GPUs feature an advanced setup with up to 14+6+6 power phases, integrated with 70A DrMOS to ensure efficiency. In comparison, the recently reviewed MSI RTX 5080 Vanguard edition utilizes a relatively robust 19 power phase configuration.

On top of its robust VRM, the GALAX GeForce RTX 5080 HOF series boasts remarkable clock speeds. The RTX 5080 HOF OC LAB Plus operates at a peak boost frequency of 2685 MHz, while the OC LAB Plus X variant slightly surpasses this with a boost of 2730 MHz.
Both GPU models maintain a standard 360W Total Graphics Power (TGP) rating. Under certain conditions, they can reach up to 400W at the default clock settings. As these GPUs are designed for overclocking, they are likely to exceed the 400W threshold with manual adjustments.

Design and Cooling Features
The GALAX RTX 5080 HOF GPU series continues the tradition with a single 12V-2×6 connector for power requirements, mirroring the single 12-pin connector used in its RTX 4080 HOF predecessor. The aesthetic remains consistent, featuring a striking white shroud accented with vibrant RGB lighting. Advanced cooling is provided by dual 102mm fans and one 92mm Frost Ring fan, along with an Error Detection LED system for monitoring performance.

Although the GALAX RTX 5080 HOF models are now available for purchase, their pricing remains undisclosed. Additionally, consumers may experience delays before these GPUs appear on retail shelves due to overall GPU supply constraints.
