Queen Dizzy Joins Guilty Gear Strive as Free DLC on Nintendo Switch
In an exciting announcement on Christmas Day 2024, Arc System Works revealed that Queen Dizzy will be included as a complimentary DLC character for the Nintendo Switch version of Guilty Gear Strive. This release is set for February 2025, following the Switch port’s launch in late January of the same year.
Access to Queen Dizzy on Various Platforms
Since October 31, 2024, players on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC have had the opportunity to access Queen Dizzy, albeit through purchasing either a season pass or the character DLC separately. The upcoming Nintendo Switch port will debut with 28 fighters, and with Queen Dizzy’s addition, the total will increase to 29 characters without incurring extra costs for players after February 2025.
Insights on the Fourth Season Pass
Queen Dizzy marks the first addition to the fourth season pass of Guilty Gear Strive. Following her inclusion, players can look forward to additional characters being added such as Venom in early 2025, Unika in Spring, and Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners in Summer 2025. However, as of now, Arc System Works has not provided details regarding how these remaining characters will be introduced on the Switch platform.
Arcade Availability of Queen Dizzy
It is worth noting that Queen Dizzy is not exclusive to the Switch; she is available for free in the arcade version of Guilty Gear Strive following the version 1.16 update released on November 26, 2024. In this version, players can access Dizzy without additional payments beyond the necessary credits to start a game session.
A Special Announcement on a Special Day
The announcement made on December 25 also coincides with Queen Dizzy’s birthday, adding a layer of significance to her debut as a playable character. Interestingly, she shares this special day with fellow characters from the Guilty Gear series, including Elphelt Valentine and Axl Low.
Availability Across Platforms
Guilty Gear Strive is currently accessible on multiple consoles, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC, as well as in arcades. The Nintendo Switch port is set to launch on January 23, 2025, featuring Queen Dizzy as a free DLC character shortly after.
